Celebrate Easter with gourmet food, friends, family at the many restaurants at Pechanga Resort and Casino

TEMECULA, Calif. – (March 31, 2013) – Sunday, April 20 marks the day friends and families around the world celebrate Easter. Seven of Pechanga Resort & Casino’s 11 restaurants help make the occasion memorable with dining specials to please many tastes. Guests will find Easter dining specials at the Pechanga Café, Paisano’s Italian, Journey’s End, the AAA Four Diamond Great Oak Steakhouse, Kelsey’s Sports Bar & Grill, Umi Sushi & Oyster Bar and The Pechanga Café. Hours of each restaurant vary and reservations are recommended at the Great Oak Steakhouse and at Paisano’s Italian. Opt for a casual setting at the 24-hour Pechanga Café where the special of the day on Easter is stuffed chicken breast with mushrooms and spinach topped with creamy almondine sauce and served with green beans, carrots and rice pilaf. This special is $19.00. For dessert, the Pechanga Café features a luscious Grand Marnier crème brulee with fresh fruit for $5.00. The restaurant’s daily menu will also be served.

For an Italian spin on the holiday, hop over to Paisano’s for dinner. For $45, guests can savor a house-smoked swordfish vegetable salad with lemon dressing, soft potato gnocchi with walnuts and gorgonzola cheese, roasted lamb shoulder with truffle potatoes and mushrooms and for dessert a Frangelico crème brulee tart with chocolate sauce. Paisano’s opens at 5:00p.m. and the restaurant’s nightly menu will be served in addition to the prix fixe option.

Open for breakfast, brunch and evening appetizers, Journey’s End at the Journey golf course features three specials to mix and match on Easter. The soup is a Matzo Ball soup for $5.00. Enjoy a succulent seared pork loin with apple chutney, bacon stuffing and roasted baby squash for $16.00. Save room for dessert because the fresh apple tart with caramel sauce tantalizes for $7.00. The restaurant’s daily menu will also be available. Journey’s End is open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is open to the public.

For an Easter dinner to remember, the Great Oak Steakhouse, winner of the AAA Four Diamond Award three years running features a prix fixe menu with jumbo lump crab tower with avocado, roasted yellow tomato and basil oil, a roasted Cornish game hen with black truffle sauce and vegetable menu for the entrée and chocolate cake with brandied Anglaise for dessert. The special menu is $52 and the nightly menu will also be served. The restaurant opens at 5 p.m.

Kelsey’s Sports Bar & Grill gives guests a succulent Osso Bucco with wild mushrooms and polenta for $29, and chocolate banana bread pudding with caramel sauce for $5. Kelsey’s is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and its regular menu may also be ordered from on Easter.

Pechanga Resort & Casino’s newest dining outlet, Umi Sushi & Oyster Bar offers a special menu for $45 of gem lettuce salad with faro and asparagus, halibut a la Plancha with red quinoa, micro radish salad and yuzu marmalade as the entrée and a decadent strawberry cheesecake for dessert. Umi opens at 5:00p.m. and its nightly menu will also be served.

The Pechanga Buffet is a favorite of many diners on special occasions because everyone can pick exactly what they want. The Easter brunch buffet runs from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and is $28.50 for adults and $14.25 for children ages three to 11. Children under three are free. Breakfast and brunch items abound at the Pechanga Buffet on Easter including the nutella, rum, banana, or butter French toast bar, the build your own omelet or pancake. Fresh seafood options include prawns, mussels, oysters on the half shell, jumbo crab legs and more. Diners can also choose from hundreds more options from the Americana, pasta, pizza, rotisserie, Mexican, Asian, soup and salad, grill and the carving stations. Leave room for desserts because the make your own sundae bar, freshly baked pastries, cookies, pies, cakes and more sweet treats await. Dinner at the Pechanga Buffet is served starting at 4 p.m. on Easter Sunday. Prices are $28.50 for adults and $14.25 for children ages three to 11. Children under three are free.
