Sunday, October 20, 2013 the runners will be out in force supporting Susan G. Komen’s Race for the Cure – as well as Michelle’s Place, and Inland Empire Chapter of Susan G. Komen foundation.This 15th annual Susan G. Komen Inland Empire Race for the Cure will have activities begin at 6:30 a.m. Registration now open at www.KomenIE.org. Registration will be available at Macy’s Women’s through Saturday, October 19th.
Drivers, be aware of the route and road closures Sunday morning during race time. Roads affected are:
The race begins at Promenade Temecula, on the Ynez & Winchester side of the Promenade Temecula mall parking lot.
Runners will race east bound, along Winchester road, heading toward Margarita Road. West bound Winchester should not be affected.
Racers will then turn onto Margarita, crossing North General Kearney Road, southbound, toward Overland Drive. Crossing Overland Drive, to loop and return the way they came, back across Margarita Road.
The pink clad teams will return back into the Promenade Temecula Mall via North General Kearney Road, running along the interior Mall Loop Road on a track that meanders through the parking lots, interior mall loop road, and back to where they began.
If you are visiting the Promenade Temecula Mall on Sunday, October 20, 2013, the best entrance to utilize would be the South Entrance to the mall, proper, off Ynez Road.
