Menifee House Fire on Magnetite Street brings dramatic footage by Joe Fanaselle

Fire destroys a home in the 33600 block of Magnetite Street in Menifee on Thursday, April 12, 2014.

The dramatic footage below by photojournalist Joe Fanaselle shows CalFire on scene at work.

The fire was first reported around 10:54 pm, according to Cal Fire officials, according to CalFire and Fanaselle’s report. “It took 23 firefighters approximately 34 minutes to knock down the blaze, which gutted the garage and caused heavy damage to the 2nd floor and attic of the home.” Fanaselle said.

One dog was rescued from the fire, and the home’s residents were evaluated by paramedics at the scene.

A damage estimate was unavailable, and the cause of the fire was under investigation.
