Meeting together on a breezy afternoon in Temecula Valley Horse Country, the setting of the Temecula Valley Polo Club barns, Geraldine Strunsky showed off the polo ponies–each of them bright-eyed at her presence, knowing she was bound to have a treat in her pocket. At her arrival, knickers and chuffs as the horses eagerly awaited her attention.
“The barn is ready for our Polo Club members barbecues, and other events we hold here throughout the season,” Strunsky said, eyeing the planted, blooming geraniums, the inset bars and colorful artwork that fill the spaces.
On the wall, polo mallets rest for ready access by the many professional and amateur players that take the field here. But on this day, Strunsky was thinking about how her international path has brought her to Temecula Valley and the Polo Club she calls home.
Networking for Strunsky borders on art-form.
