Temecula Valley Players proudly present the military courtroom drama A Few Good Men artfully presented by award winning director, Patricia McQuillan.
This Broadway hit, written by Aaron Sorkin with rights and royalties through Samuel French, circles around the trial of two Marines (played by Randall Matsumoto and Caleb Ruggieri)for complicity in the death of a fellow Marine at Guantanamo Bay simply sizzles on stage.
The Navy lawyer, a callow young man Lieutenant Junior-Grade Kaffee (played by Aaron Niotta), is more interested in softball games than the case, expects a plea bargain and a cover up of what really happened. As chief lawyer for the defense, Kaffee is a wisecracking out-of-court settler, confident that he can get the suspects’ sentences reduced to six months and be finished in time for his next softball game.
Prodded by a female member of his defense team, Lieutenant Commander Joanne Galloway (played by Gina Kraut), Kaffee eventually makes a valiant effort to defend his clients and, in so doing, puts the military mentality and the Marine code of honor on trial.
Don’t miss this searing drama at Old Town Temecula Community Theater with an amazing cast that will pull you into the courtroom.
