Our roving reporter spotted a Rancho Water Hydrant failure at noon, December 18, 2013. Water gushed out of the catchbasin, flooding the streets outside of Dan’s Feed and Seed in Old Town Temecula, CA.

Though water has been shut off, there is a mess of mud and debris still to clean up, according to reports.

Sidewalk cracks under pressure from hydrant failure.

Be prepared, lane closures at the south arch, and cleanup could take a few hours during this busy holiday season.

Rancho Water officials are on scene. More information will be posted as it comes available.
