Temecula Valley Museum announces first annual Gingerbread House Making Contest, 2013

Join the Temecula Valley Museum for the 1st Annual Gingerbread House Contest, and start a new holiday tradition! 

The Temecula Valley Museum is proud to host the 1st Annual Gingerbread House contest.  Regardless of experience, all are welcome to try. Kids ages 8 and up, families, professionals and businesses are all encouraged to enter.  Celebrity Guest Judge Susan Carberry, owner of The Cake Cottage and winner on TLC’s Ultimate Cake Off will help decide the winners.

Prizes include more than $150.00 total in gift certificates to local businesses.

If you think you have what it takes, please enter and show us your candied culinary creations! All participants must make and submit their own work and can go to www.temeculamuseum.org for rules and more information.   The contest is separated into divisions, a child’s division 8-12 and 13-16 years old and an adult division 17 & up.

Ideas for decor around your Temecula Valley Museum Gingerbread House entry

All interested parties must register to enter – registration date has been extended to December 1st.  

Entries must be delivered to the Museum between December 1st-8th during Museum hours. Museum hours are as follows, Tuesday-Saturday 10 a.m. -4 p.m., and Sunday 1 p.m.-4 p.m. The Museum is closed on Monday’s. The entries will remain on display at the Museum from December 1st-15th, 2013.

How big is your Gingerbread House gonna get?

Winners will be announced at the December 14th Holiday Workshop at 12 p.m. Participants need not be present to win.   Entrants can then display their masterpieces in their own homes in time for the holidays and must be picked up on December 15, 2013, between 1pm-4pm (No earlier). All entries not picked up will be destroyed on December 15th at 4 p.m. unless special pick up arrangements are made in advance.
