In a press release announced October 11, 2013, Temecula Valley Hospital will open its doors to patients on Monday, October 14th at 9:00 a.m.
The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) has given the hospital a green light to begin providing patient care.
“Our employees and the medical staff are very excited and honored to open a hospital dedicated to providing patient centered, family sensitive care to serve the surrounding region,” said Darlene Wetton, chief executive officer of the company.With state licensure obtained, the hospital will move forward with providing a comprehensive range of hospital services, including emergency care. In addition to high quality medical services, the hospital also features surgical suites equipped with advanced technology, private patient rooms and a 24-hour visitation policy.
Abayomi A. Odubela, MD, chief of staff at the hospital said that the medical staff are “to provide consistent high quality medical care to each and every patient and to provide that care in a respectful and collaborative manner with the patient, their family, and all members of the care team.”
CDPH gave its approval after a team of 10 surveyors that included nursing professionals, pharmacists, physicians, and registered dietitians conducted a comprehensive survey of each department that reviewed staff competency and training and inspection of equipment to ensure safety for quality patient care.
