Tuesday, August 20, 2013, is National Lemonade Day, and Bushfire Grill Restaurant invites you to come on over for a cool glass of lemonade, in a toast to ending childhood cancer with charity, Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF), a non-profit dedicated to finding a cure for childhood cancer.
And this is no ordinary lemonade, in typical Bushfire Grill fashion. Signature lemonade flavors include Pineapple Jalapeño, Herbal, and Strawberry. Each is sold for $2.50 a glass.
100% of lemonade proceeds will go to the nonprofit, ALSF The restaurant is also working with ALSF to arrange to host local families affected by childhood cancer, and treating them to a complimentary lunch or dinner that day.
“ALSF was the perfect organization for us to donate lemonade sales to on National Lemonade Day and help bring more attention to a great cause”, said Bushfire Grill co-owner Brandon Barwin.
Bushfire Grill, a casual dining concept created by Clive and Brandon Barwin in 2012, is committed to making natural hearty cuisine a daily delight. Featuring free-range chicken, locally sourced vegetables, organic sides and much more, Bushfire Grill’s homestyle fare is all natural, antibiotic and hormone-free. Many menu items are gluten-free. And of course, the lemonade is beyond compare.
Local organic lemon growers Miles and Kay Standish will also be supporting the effort by donating lemons to Bushfire Grill for this event. Bushfire Grill’s organic lemonade was introduced last spring and has become a favorite with guests.
