Even the kids get an obstacle course or two, with shallow mud pits, balance beams, over and under bridges and sprinklers.
If running in the mud isn’t your thing, volunteers are wanted to make the event run.

American Ninja Warrior‘s got nothing on the Summer of Love Mud Run, whose OBSTACLES in the 5K run include:
5k, which is about 3 miles
If you have a motor home or trailer you can camp on location at Vail Lake Resort with full RV hookups. www.vaillakeresort.com/camping.
If you want to race against other competitors as an individual, race in wave #1 at 9:00AM. If you have a friend of the opposite sex you would like to race with against other teams, then race wave #2 at 9:30AM.
These first two waves will be competitive for awards. The other competitive class is the costume race Wave #9 at 12:00PM. Awards will be given for first across the finish line and best costume. Team awards will also be presented in categories of: most members, most spirit, and best dressed. All other waves are for fun and making great memories.
The kids course will de designed for young runners ages 5 and up. It
will be a 1 K course and parents are welcome to run with their
children. The kids course will begin at the same start area as the
adults at 11:15 and 12:15
Participants under 18, minors, must remain with their parents or legal guardian when on the course.
Following the run, Dr Bronner’s Magic Soap All-One ark will be on site to wash down everyone.
We will have women’s and men’s separate enclosed changing tents near the wash off area and bag check.
Photographers along the course capturing all of the fun. Photos will be posted on our Facebook page within a day or two after the event.
There is a $10 fee for parking. Spectators are free.
Note: the cost to register the day of the event is $85. If you don’t register early, you will not be guaranteed a T shirt or finishing medal.
We will run rain or shine and have even more mud to play in : ) And if you can’t make it, sorry. There are no refunds for this event.
