No matter how rough your commute this Friday, get ready for a tough commutes south, next Friday, August 2, 2013 – Temecula!
This first phase of the project is to provide interim relief by widening the existing southbound off-ramp at Winchester Road. All access to businesses near the Winchester southbound off-ramp will be maintained with road detours commencing at the Rancho California Road exit.
“We apologize in advance for this temporary inconvenience.” The city said in a recent press release, “The good news is that when these improvements are complete at the end of 2013, the Winchester Road southbound offramp will be widened and enhanced with a new dedicated exit lane.”
Ongoing construction will continue at the southbound off-ramp at the future French Valley Parkway, and constructing the westbound portion of French Valley Parkway between the new off-ramp and Jefferson Avenue.
So plan your freeway travel accordingly, and use alternative routes whenever possible to avoid delays around the I-15 Winchester exits.
Is relief really on the way for this often congested area? We’ll see about that on August 5, 2013.
